Happy Birthday, Marigold!

We didn't get much out of the "essential oil" project. 😂

The kids found my old soccer ball... from a soccer camp back when I was in high school. It's certainly held up for forever. We've never had a ball last 33 days much less 33 years.
Um, yeah... I could use a different hair dresser! 😂
Sign of the times.

I'm Larry, this is my sister Darryl and my other sister Darryl.
My absolute favorite flowers - Lily of the Valley!

Sewing outdoors on a gloriously beautiful day.
I asked one of my kids to get me some water.... half gallon?!
Hm, after I planted of course it went below freezing (in May...)  so I lost a few plants.

Come out and play with me, me, me!

 Driving practice

Birthday girl make out like a bandit

Rosie made her an amazing coloring book, here are a few of the pictures she drew by hand for Marigold.

Marigold requested a pink angel food cake.
We picked up a few fish for the pond and a some for an aquarium

 Happy 9th birthday, Marigold!

Happy Mother's Day and Happy Birthdays Times Two during Covid-19

A lovely lot of gifties. "Relative Insanity" came was hilarious. First, however,
I went through the cards to remove any inappropriate ones. Left side appropriate, right side inappropriate. Almost half were inappropriate! But otherwise we had a blast playing the game. If you want to play, borrow our censored version...! 😂

Next was the zoom Mother's Day Workout with our TKD school!
I don't have the knack of selfies... at... all.

Next came breakfast. We had my mom's ham, egg and broccoli dish. And I had a peanut butter chocolate "cup" (shaped like either a cat or a squirrel, it got a little squished) from the Mixing Bowl Bakery (yum!)

Some people have an instapot, we have an instastill. Stay tuned... (before you start rumors)

Making the magic for our "essential oil"

And then it SNOWED, seriously, on mother's day! This was the first year in about 10 years that it snowed on Mother's Day... The last 10 years we had a beautiful and glorious May Crowning on Mother's Day with our Young Ladies' Choir.

 Free Mother's Day sundae :)
We made absolutely delicious shish kebabs for dinner.

More of the big mystery project

Now at church... this... sanitize your pew before you go in and when you go out. Sigh. Really. (not our priest's fault, the signs of the times)

The thing missing is the reaction to all the chemicals we are supposed to put on everything around us. I couldn't take the stuff.   So I made my own.

Simple hand sanitizer and cut up paper towels. I won't sanitize before I go in but I will on my way out just to follow the rule and not get anyone up tight. (rolling my eyes)

 HAPPY 24th BIRTHDAY, SAM!!
Someone gave him a Lava Lamp off the gift registry
 Social Distancing engagement

I made him a "copy cat" Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake. It's soooo good! The only thing I can't do is copy cat the nice looking bit!

Someone is waiting as patiently as possible for the next birthday! 😂
 Repurposed tissue box... helmet.

Leftover chunks of wood from the building of a garage
 Finally... HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY KILI!
How did the baby get to be 7?!
 pop up card
 Thank you, Great Aunt Susan!

Marigold made him a suit of armor!

 He wanted an orange cake!
(not orange flavored... just orange)

 Gas price
Cleaning the pool. Seriously these girls were in there for a very long time! But they did a great job! It's getting clearer and clearer! They did not freeze.

The shower we were going to have for Galadriel was cancelled due to Covid-1984 (LOL snitched from Fr. Z). But people have been so sweet and generous! We seem to have a perpetual shower.
 Such beautiful plates!
 From her soon-to-be sister...
 Such a sweetie pie!

My state champ uniform arrived just in time for belt testing! Our TKD has been entirely on-line during this cycle.
I earned all 8 stripes that I was capable of earning! Kind of something to be proud of at age 51!! To earn our stripes we had to send in videos doing the required  achievement:
White - fit test
Green - advanced combo
Blue - nunchucks form
Yellow - 5 second round kick hold (much harder than it sounds... try it!)
Red - First 1/2 of Choon jung 1 form
Purple - oral recitation of 7 pillars of self-esteem
Gold - Second 1/2 of Choon jung 1 form
Silver - Leadership double nunchuck creative form

We had a drive-thru belt test ceremony - how we've missed face to face time! (and sparring!)

Belts and other things earned were given to us on a shovel! LOL!

 Mom - brown belt (!!!!)
Rosie - mid-term #2
Merry - mid-term #1
Pippin - red/black/gold belt
Bilbo - red/black/gold belt
Poppy - red/black/gold belt
Marigold - purple belt
Kili - Tiny Tiger Green Decided belt (eagle)

Awesome mug from doing the Tough Mom workout

Tis the season! Anyone know what is wrong with the one Kili is holding? The puffer thing later turned red. And the toad was very bloated.
A young lady at our TKD school did a drawing for the TKD talent show, it was an amazing display. Later she gave Frodo a drawing she did of him! Amazing!
 They are still swimming!!!

I couldn't help taking a photo of how beautiful our High Altar looked.

We brought flowers for the Blessed Mother but I haven't a knack with flowers. I told my daughter I would like to learn to arrange flowers. I get home and on my google had already put in my news feed a video how to arrange flowers. SERIOUSLY!! (I had not googled it or anything) ARGH. Big evil step brother is always watching apparently.

I'm still mystified about this project.  Looking more and more interesting all the time.
