Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! May the joy of the Newborn Babe be yours no matter what crosses you may be called to bear.

Happy Birthday Bilbo and Christmas Things

Fourth Week of Advent brought Christmas Prep time and Bilbo's birthday

It is very hard to believe that Bilbo is 13 THIRTEEN!

Happy birthday, Bilbo!!

Who hairstyle

All ready to whip my SIL's "cornbread pudding". It is so delicious!

Bread and buns rising. We gave these an egg wash to make them nice and shiny and pretty.

Crushing peppermints for Peppermint Bark

Crescents all piled up

I made these little bugle candies with Galadriel in mind as she really likes Bugles.

First layer of peppermint bark

Pageant practice

Rosie and I saw the conjunction in the morning on our way to Mass. Aragorn and I went to find it in the evening but we went out too late and it had just gone below the horizon.... according to his sky map (which is really nifty!)

I was showing my Grandma O's needlepoint to a friend.

Ka-ching! Great find at St. Vinnies! Cherry Ames books

Making Who hair

This beautiful sign was made by a couple of my nephews. It's just gorgeous!

My Grandma M's  molasses cookies

The 4 youngest put on a cute Christmas Pagaent on Christmas Eve.

Getting ready for Midnight Mass.

I forgot to take a group picture and our church nativity set.... to be continued...

We had a wonderful cookie social after Midnight Mass. I had the kids take a few photos so I could enjoy good company. We are very blessed!

It all started when, just before we left for Midnight Mass the angel tree topper  did a Peter Pan right off the top of the tree. So fast forward to this time, soon after we got home, we discovered a couple of cows got out. I mean what do you want to do at 2:30 am.... chase cows. Aragorn slipped on the ice and hurt his shoulder. I'm just glad that this is the end of 2020, not the beginning of 2021....  trying to keep hopes up that 2021 will be better. 2020 was absurd.

In the morning was gift opening. We started with stockings. We were delighted to have everyone over for Christmas by the time we ate lunch.

When all was said and done, it took about 2-1/2 hours to open gifts, just by sheer numbers.
Funny gift: Grumpy Cat calendar... for reasons which made us all laugh out loud.
A writer can never had too many pens.
Kili was delighted by a car that doubles over on itself. Pretty neat!

Funny gift: Poppy in her Science is fun shirt (she loves science) received a Bob Ross calendar.

The fun at Miss G's house has now come home.

We found the best legos ever, a Nativity set, a confessional, and an altar

Funniest gift ever came to me from Rosie. I laughed about 5 minutes straight right out loud.

Another funniest gift was given to Frodo "The boob cube" complete with instructions.

Between laser guns and airsoft and targets, the boys were very busy the rest of the day.

Galdariel gave me this beautiful mug.  Belladonna also gave me a lovely mug (I love mugs) and some very lovely teas in tins.  I'm set and cozy for winter.

It was either a red ryder or a leg lamp.  Don't shoot your eye out.

The mess just kept on giving.

I forgot to take a picture of breakfast but we had a typical Italian breakfast (not because we are a stitch of Italian). Prosciutto, crescents, fruit, yogurt. Just a grab-your-eats type meal. Some had to leave early so we planned an early lunch.

Before we sat down to eat we enjoyed a P.S Productions video.

It was quite entertaining.

Homemade "crackers" with little gifties inside, ham, mom's potato hotdish, jello cubes, corn pudding, etc... Nice hearty comfort lunch.

Lots of desserts, though we haven't really eaten any yet... we were too full... we will enjoy after dinner.
And zoom with my family, spanning California, Wisconsin, Virginia, and Florida. Very enjoyable.
