Third Week of Advent-ures

Marigold and Kili received their gorgeous Confirmation certificates! (from August Confirmation!)

A business vendor sends us delicious popcorn every year, this year it was all pre-packaged (rather than in a divided tin. It came in caramel, cinnamon, butter, plain...

Records are back. And so is Michael Jackson. I thought records were out, but apparently they are back. In case anyone is looking for Michael Jackson Thriller 😂

I found this adorable ornament at at St. Vinnies. It's the same style Aragorn's aunt used to draw. Too cute!

Just don't order anything from Facebook ads. Just don't. I ordered a rotating shelf. I received a pair of socks and a note that said that I was the 99th person to order so I got a prize. The tracking number was used to prove that my package arrived. Paypal denied my case saying tracking said it arrived. Apparently it didn't matter that a shelf is a heavy object and tracking said it was a lightweight package. ARGH.

DMV social distancing
After much hard work, Rosie is now our 5th young driver.

Bilbo turned 13 this week THIRTEEN! He requested an ice cream cake so here I was working on some of it.

He wanted cream cheese coffee cake. The same recipe I got back when I first got married from Aragorn's cousin. Except I forgot to double the flour so it was just the way the kids like it, "rare".
Off to work by herself for the first time.

Bilbo turned 13! He had quite a day!

First we went to a friend's house for a lovely brunch and to help her trim here adorable little tree.
It was very cozy in her teeny tiny house with the fire place aglowing!
Miss G has the best books!

The brunch was absolutely delicious. Muffins, strata, baked fruit, orange juice. YUM!

Even a birthday-boy muffin with candle

Poppy is almost as tall as Bilbo

Old - Old Maid - Monster Old Maid.
One at a time we took out here lovely homemade ornaments.

The tiniest little knitted mitten ornaments! Too cute!

This year she took out her needlepoint nativity. It was very fascinating and unique. She had handmade it and then had a finisher finish it.

Kili insisted on trying on every single one of Miss G's hats.

Two peas in a pod ornament

teeny tiny pea pod salt and pepper shakers for her teeny tiny house
She knitted me this gorgeous ear wrap.
Miss G also knitted these darling tiny little stocking ornaments complete with candy canes.

Sitting in old chairs from Holy Redeemer from when they  renovated.

Saying good-bye

Bilbo's birthday gift finally arrived just in time for his birthday.

We didn't have his birthday cake on his birthday as we were going to pick up Eleanor from a paint night so we stopped at Culver's for frozen custard. Our lucky day - $2 waffle cones!

A gift from Hartman Farms were we brought our corn and soy beans

We put up our tree around the 4th Sunday of Advent. (usually put up the Saturday before the 4th Sunday but this time it was Friday as we have some belt testing on Saturday and the kids are filming a movie when Frodo can come over.

My grandma's tiny knitten stocking (when she was 80 years old) along side Miss G's stocking.
Just hanging out on the beams during decorating.

Some favorite ornaments....
Found these at St. Vinnie's, super thick glass balls.
I think this might be the only one left from my childhood.

A nail from the crucifixion ornament. Also a St. Vinnies find this year
Had to have one of these. Everyone wants to be reminded of 2020.

Button tree ornament
One of Frodo's carvings.

2 peas in a pod ornament
The tree skirt was a wedding gift by the wife of the president of my college.

Clue is going to be a lengthy movie. Today they did interviews.
