Epiphany and Other January Things

We got a kick out of this.

We've had some freezing fog lately and it has looked like a winter wonderland. Kind of Narnian.

On Epiphany Eve we went to the blessing of Epiphany Water. Very beautiful ceremony.

We made a king's cake but as it turns out these are the only 2 pictures I took. I make one that is stuffed with a cream cheese mixture... and of course a Baby Jesus.

Someone was proud of making a new do on mom.
I love having the kids (and their spouses) around!

Rosie's painting (it was a paint by numbers but it was still beautiful!)

A dear pea-poddish type of friends is teaching me to knit!

We put away the large Christmas tree and the huge Nativity.

And left up the small tree and Baby Jesus. They will stay up until February 2nd.

Zoom call with Aragorn's (paternal) Uncle Wayne. He's been in the hospital with Covid since, about, December 9th. He's been off and on the ventilator. Please keep him in your prayers!

He loved having a zoom call, recognized everyone, and had his sense of humor intact! It was a great time. As of typing this post he had an amazing (surprising) turn around. Deo Gratias!

Grand Baby Shower

Goldberry's family hosted a small, beautiful covid baby shower  for our first grand baby! Some of us came early for a brunch and singing.
Some of our former young ladies choir (3 who got married in 2020!) met up to sing Christmas carols and hymns.

I enjoyed watching the birds outside the window!

Looking forward to grandbaby #1in the next 4-6 weeks-ish!

True

Received this in an email from Wendy Cukierski and I thought it was post worthy truth:

My advice to my kids and anyone who will listen:

1. Never stop learning...I continually take classes, and I'm 54

2. Interrogate your beliefs...it is because I did that I came back to Holy Mother Church

3. Satan sows division...don't let him divide you!

4. Be nice...there is NEVER a reason to be cruel

5. Remember the six doctors that God has given us: Water, Air, Diet, Exercise, Sunshine, Rest.

6. Be good and do good...help people.

7. Forgive always, even if forgiveness has not been asked for.

8. Move your body (move it or lose it)

9. You are what you eat. Eat as close to nature as possible.

10. Memento mori! Live with eternity in mind. Eternity is an awfully long time.

11. When you feel anxious, stressed, scared or depressed...stop, drop and pray

12. Never stop loving ♥️
