2024 - July 5 - 6 - Old Erie Canal and Skaneateles New York

 

Merry and Pippin went one-wheeling  on the evening of the 5th around Mishawaka where we stayed at an Airbnb after the Eucharistic Procession.

Lots of loud booms from fireworks.

Merry was waiting for this unlatched truck of potato buns and bread to fly open and spew buns on the interstate.

Storm looming ahead. It did downpour for a little while but we drove out of it

We stopped at the Old Erie Canal at Port Byron. Where the museum stands is where the original Erie canal went through. It was moved a little north later on.

We arrived at our Airbnb (yeah, I like Airbnb's) which is just perfect for our needs.

Out at the lake house where my sisters are staying.

My mom cooked dinner this night. Delicious Mex Casserole, spiral pasta salad, and slaw salad with Peanut cookies for dessert. We also had some ice cream. The grocery store had Heavenly Hash! I haven't seen that in years. 

We didn't get in line at Skan-ellus as the lines were looong.
