Marigold needs glasses. She picked these out. Pink, of course.
4 of us went to the opera and on the way in saw that in February/March, the Overture will be doing the King and I. Would certainly love to see that!
This piece of artwork in the hallway was interesting.

Some of the homeschoolers who attended.
Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci.
They had a great Easter Procession in the first opera, better than you'll find in most churches. Complete with gonfalons, a crucifix, and a statue of Our Lady.
I definitely liked the first one best.
Oh. Ouch. This kind of thing can happen when running in the woods. While waiting for her glasses to arrive she was rather miserable so we ran out and got an extra pair that we could get right away. She was a MUCH happier camper after getting the glasses.
Happy Feast of All Saints Day (November 1)
- Church Triumphant in Heaven
- Church Suffering in Purgatory
- Church Militant on Earth (that would be those of us in the state of Sanctifying Grace - be sure to go to Confession)
Feast of All Souls Day (November 2)
A reminder that it is laudable to pray for the dead who are in Purgatory being purified before entering the Pearly Gates. Those in hell will suffer there forEVer.... and ever and ever and ever without end. Let's not go there.
Our wonderful Bishop had a Pontifical High Mass for the Feast of All Souls Day.
The purple and the black birettas were in memory of all the priests in our diocese who have died.
Not only was our wonderful Bishop Morlino present but also Fr. Z and Fr. Ripperger. Fr. Heilman was in the confessional and numerous other wonderful priests and seminarians were present. Deo Gratias.
I was so blessed to attend a talk by Fr. Chad Ripperger. It was so crowded and I had to help prep for the reception afterwards so I opted to stay up in the gym and watch via live stream It was great as there were no people (just one other lady and her son). I'm not a crowds kind of person so worked for me.
2 greats of the 21st century.
