Very sad and hard days

We had to say good-bye to our best and dearest family friend, our weary crusader. Cancer is a nasty beast, but the good side is it gives time to say goodbye and pray for a holy death

We said the Last Will and Testament of the Soul, Prayers for a Holy Death, and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. We all shed many tears.

He had requested the weary crusader that Rosie had painted at his request be at his showing before he no longer was able to make any communication. Our friend died on the feast of St. Mary Magdalen. Eternal Rest grant unto Tom, O Lord, and let Perpetual Light Shine upon him. May he rest in Peace.

Celebrating my God Son's birthday and all I got was a picture of a blimp that flew by

7 of us black belts had a midterm. We are graded on our form, weapon (sword) and sparring. I earned an 8 out of 10. I was pretty pleased since it was the day after our friend passed away and I was highly distracted.

It may not be customary in America to show pictures from a wake, as someone once told me, but TL was family to us (or the way family should be). Someone told me that it was just an "empty case" but actually after a holy death, and any purgation in Purgatory, this is actually a first class relic. We need to be reminded of where we will be some day so that we can strive to live a holy life while we have the time. We have so many beautiful memories with TL. We miss him so very much. Our Sundays are not the same at all any more.
