2022 - August 27 - Chess Tournament and Milwaukee Zoo

 

Merry and Pippin participated in a world chess federation chess tournament.

8-minite-drive-that-took-an-hour to the Milwaukee zoo.... Eowyn and I enjoyed a day at said zoo. 

We saw a great sea lion show

While one stood in the eternal line for lunch the other went to see the small mammals

The really neat dragon exhibit. The various dragons moved and made noise.

A 3 month old giraffe, so cute!

By this point, 6 miles later, we were beat and took a train ride. We went back to where the boys were competing. On the way back I realized we forgot to go into the monkey buildings. ARGH! 😂

We went to Costco to do some grocery shopping and discovered it was Christmas pre-season...

Then we went out for sushi (and other yummies)

 The boys did well. Pippin came in a tie for 4th

we didn't stick around to find out the final results

It was very late as it was.
