I attended an awesome Well-Read Mom conference in Milwaukee. It was absolutely fantastic and the women (about 300!) were such lovely, joyful women! Very edifying.
I stayed at the Brewhouse Inn which is part of the Pabst brewing area. It was a great place to stay, I highly recommend!
Besides the rooms being quaint with a full kitchenette, the old copper brewing kettles are still in their places.
I always had a fondness for spiral staircases. This one goes right into the ceiling...
The talks were absolutely fantastic. Colleen Hutt introducing Dr. Holly Ordway... a Tolkien expert! Was I in the right place or what?
Old stairways have such character.
🎝bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens 🎶
The chairs were a sight to see.
Old beer commercials
Beautiful stained glass windows.
Wish I remembered all the history...
Rather safe parking.
These phenomenal women (Colleen Hutt and Marcie Stokman)
are absolutely... phenomenal.
They wrote a book together entitled "Well-Read Life"
Just a list of books on the list I don't want to forget...
