Corn, Birthday Party, Mines

Time to freeze some corn... simply.
300 ears of corn (raw and shucked and shaved off the cob)
Mix 1 gallon of water, 3 c sugar, 2 c salt.
Let sit a while, put in quart ziploc bags and freeze. It'll stay fresh through the winter.

Kili started Taekwondo as a tiger. He loves it. It's one of the most comical thing to watch are all the little tigers do their thing.

Cousin Lucy's 7th birthday party. Cowgirls galore.

Exploding cake.

I'm not sure how this little police car came to be at our house. But that cat likes it.

 Badger Steam and Gas Show

Rosie and Eleanor participated in a level up belt camp. I watched the day they got their new level up'd belts.

Blue Decided
Kili practicing kicks. And below practicing with Mr. Moh our awesome own and master instructor.

The Steam and Gas show lasted all weekend. We tried to sell some stuff off.

I had a few leather belts made for a few of the men in my family. I told him to bring some for boys next year. They are awesome belts.

 HAHA "No general admition" haha
The same weekend was our Moh's Family picnic. This year Mr. Moh brought in a bouncy house obstacle course. Biggest one I ever saw.

We've had massive flooding in our state.  I was unaware of it when Eowyn and I decided to drive into Madison so she'd know the way to a babysitting job.  But it took us 1-1/2+ to go what would normally take us less than 15 minutes.  Everything was flooded in Middleton. Even Costco ACK! Thankfully I had been there the day before. It was close for about a week.

Drawing session
At the steam and gas show we bought this awesome little cabinet just the right size for next to my desk to store some art supplies. It's the little things in life!

 Another Belt test

Blue Belt decided and Brown Belts for Rosie and Eleanor (5 days after the level up camp)

We went on a field trip with friends to a local mine and mining villiage. It was a great trip!

Then we got to ride on a little train that had hauled lead from the mines.

An old hearse that was pulled by horses.

We also went to the Jamison museum.

Then we moved on to an old mining village about 1/2 hour away.
