Hiking, Turkeys, and Other Tid Bits

On our way to a beautiful hike at Parfrey's Glen
First a ride over the ferry.

Just a small group of us went with some homeschoolers.

Keva Planks simple never grow old.

We had a very, very sudden and instant blast of a blizzard.  Picture doesn't actually show it. but it was snowing like crazy, blowing like a tornado for all of 30-40 minutes. Then it was done. just plain ol' done.

Rosie won a Pro-Life Wisconsin art contest last year so won 3 tickets to the Pro Life Gala in Milwaukee. It was absolutely splendid.

Food was amazing. This was after the salad and bread.

The talks were amazing. The author of "Redeemed by Grace" Ramona Travino gave a great testimony!

We had a baby chinchilla but he/she didn't make it for long. Just enough to enjoy the cuteness briefly.

Kili riding in his police car.

Time to butcher some of the turkeys. They ended up being BIG! (feathers look a little rumpled due to all the rain)
18 pounds, 18.5 pounds. 22.25 pounds, 23 pounds, 30.75 pounds, 30.75 pounds.  The last 4 were bigger yet so we decided to wait as they wouldn't fit in the pot.

Meanwhile I was a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd with the 2 girls (the 2 boys had to stay home and butcher haha)
