Frodo went to the 2019 ATA Nationals in Las Vegas. The (neighbor's) peacock wasn't in Las Vegas but was on the photo list so thought I'd include it.
Not all of Las Vegas is part of the armpit of America. And not everyone who goes to Las Vegas gambles or enjoys the *ahem* scenery or literature. Find Waldo Frodo.
When they got to the hotel about midnight or something late, the hotel had given away their non-smoking room so they had to stay in a smoking room so they promptly got some rapid odor eliminator and set it off. I guess it must have helped for a little while.
At Nationals
Waiting, waiting, waiting.
He did great! First in forms (!!!), 3rd in combat, and a badly hurt knee in sparring. It was overextended or something like that. But he did finish the match and won but then he lost in the tie for 3rd. Not bad considering he was one-legged by that point. Could have used Mr. Myogi.
Currently Frodo is in the top ten in the world for first degree black belts with ATA (American Taekwondo Association) in 5 areas:
3rd in world in forms
9th in world in sparring
2nd in world in combat
10th in world for x-treme martial arts
10th in world for creative forms
(he did not compete at nationals in xtreme or creative and doesn't plan to compete at worlds due to who he would be up against! *phew*)
Um, yuck? What is that?!
I love seafood but I have yet to eat a crayfish. Crayfish to me was something you tried to catch in the stream or lake when I was young. Not something for dinner.
