Happy Birthday Eleanor... puppies retreat and other things

While I wait for my first grandbaby to be born (!!!!!) I decided I should probably bide my time by uploading photos.

Happy Feast of St. Valentine and voila, this is the only picture I took. Rosie Poppy finally got an oversized Hershey kiss! None were to be found at Christmas and this was a lone one I found in the wrong place in the store!

One last trip to St. Vinnies before lent. they had a knitting sale!

Pictures just don't do justice. It was actually flaming red and gold!

When one's birthday falls on Ash Wednesday.... one gets a Fat Tuesday birthday celebration.

Happy 18th Birthday, Eleanor!

4 weeks old the puppies are thoroughly enjoying moistened puppy food

I went on a beautiful, absolutely glorious silent retreat. This is the view out my room window, facing the Perpetual Adoration chapel.
All the nun dolls were gone! WAAAHHH!!!

I post these pictures of the St. Maximillian Kolbe "museum" every time I go but they are just so beautiful. He was a prisoner at Auswich.

In line for the concentration camp. Reminder not to complain about one's measly little sufferings.

People were completely stripped of all their belongings, including their shoes

St. Maximillian gave his life for another prisoner.

These are all real people, tortured and tormented. Absolutely diabolical.

Cute picture drawn by Rosie

Our homeschooling group went skiing.

I ended up taking an extra pass and going skiing as Marigold needed some tips. I used to be a very avid skier.

It was about 38 degrees out with the sun shining, perfect day for an outdoor picnic!

One morning at 3:15 am the puppies were up barking and squealing and unhappy. So I googled and found a method of raising puppies for breeders. Misty Method. Hopefully, the pups will be mostly paper trained. At 4 weeks they have a place to do their business and eat. For week 5 week are adding a play area and hope that they won't mess it up too much!

Our Christmas flower (gift) blossomed! It is gorgeous!

Kili had an eye appointment today. He will need to wear his glasses all the time, unless rough housing.  But in a year he might not need them.
