That's one big bow!
We found this squash-ish thing growing wild next to our deck so we let it go and it became this. There were many of them on the vine. Anyone know what it is? We found the best way to eat it was to peel the skin off and fry it. Made very good "French fries".
We got a ram. It was seemingly unfriendly to its previous owners so we were not sure how this would go.
That said, he's actually been quite friendly so we guess that he just needed a nice home to go to.
Making friends which our ewe.
In case you ever wondered about the Mustard Seed Parable. It isn't a mustard seed like we normally put into pickling jars. These are Jerusalem mustard seeds (I think they are called that anyway). They are TINY. Very TINY.
Not sure if it will show well in the photo but the church was reflecting off the clouds in the sky. IT was really phenomenal!
Trying to figure out what a glue stick is... I guess...
Traveled up to Amish territory to get a few hundred pounds of flour and other things. This is their bakery. Oh. Yum. This is why I get a few hundred pounds of flour at a time... to avoid too many yummies! :)
candy DNA for science
Aragorn, Eowyn, and I went to the Celebration of Life dinner. It was delicious, fun, and beautiful.
Our table got to pick the first dessert... it was a turtle cheesecake. It was sooo good!
We've had only a few snow sprinkles.
Kili giving his presentation at Catholic School House on a trip he went on. He talked about NY to visit Grandma and Grandpa and Niagara Falls.
Friendship is a very valuable thing and also a rare gift. One may come in contact with many acquaintances through life, but what a blessing when one finds a real pearl, a real gem. Our favorite treat together is a spring roll from the UW Madison food carts... and a smoothie is a a yummy addition! :)
Time for a hair cut? 😂
My kids have a thing with wigs.
Beware of chem trails 😂
Loving this GLORIOUS fall!
We are always working on *things*. I never quite know what *things* will turn into.
This character snitched someone's bag of beef jerky, cracked me up how she got her nose/mouth right into that small bag. 😂
When going into Madison, especially during their homecoming weekend, one never knows about parking. How I loathe parking in Madison... I really should take the view of an adventurer off to find a treasure (parking spot). Alas, because I'm me, we were an hour early for the Duck Soup show.... so we walked up towards the Capitol and ventured up into the Veteran's Museum. It is a total work of art! Just amazing.
Then went for the Duck Soup hallway funsies!
A pickle racer made out of balloons!
Amazing organist playing on the original movie organ from approx 1928 in this, the original theater.
Phantom of the Opera was the "scary" show for the day.
They opened with some fun entertainment
The organist (who played live during the silent movie) was excellent and offered a pre-show concert to show the power/ability of the old organ. (It had just been restored). These organs were made specially for movies, back in the day when there wasn't sound movies.
juggler juggling a Chinese "thing"
It is so much fun to go to these shows!!
