2024 - August 10-28 - Tournament, Cowboys, Friend Time

Cranes!

Doh, where'd 'ey go?

I don't know this family personally, just family members of a friend, but they have asked for prayers as the mother of this gorgeous family suffers with cancer. 🙏🙏🙏

There is always 1. 💓

ride 'em cowboys, ye-ha!

GC2 reminds me of Pippin when he was little. That smile!

5 of us attended a tournament in Hammond, IN.
Everyone placed!

Poppy is really getting going in creative and x-treme

Go girl!

I had a great ring and tough. I keep thinking, "Hey! Ladies! we are 50-59..." Better watch out there are some pretty tough women in the world.

Finally!! Great perseverence!

TKD buddies, they've been competing and practicing together since day one at LVLup... previously Moh's. 8 years!

The missing link...

... and a missing... something... 😂

Extended family hiking day.

When cousins show up dressed alike. No joke!
Such beauties! 💖

Outdoor Shakespeare experience. Right after hiking a couple of us scurried over to the next town over and saw "Love's Labor's Lost"... why? well, that's the play our high school Shakespeare actors will be performing in 2025.

If truth be told, I thought this was a very well done script reading . It was a great reading of the play, but not spiffy and snazzy like the ones that we tend to see! But they did a good job and made it easy to understand the play.

I heard that there were going to be alot of cicadas this year.. I saw this photo of one at my daughter's house and I saw one at a pool pad (see below) but didn't really even hear any. I wonder where they were... 😕

Someone got a new swing set, or rather, playground!

So important to take our babies out to play! 💕

Even baby dollies get sleepy 💗

ham radio antenna is a great place to grow flowers.

Gotta love a rainbow!

This sheep (the one on the right 😂 ) came to us in a condition that indicated he was probably poorly treated. The former owners said he'd ram them. He's has had a changed experience and we are rather fond of him. He's a bit of a loner as his wife died but he's made friends with the goats. I have not yet figured out why we have goats.

eek.

roofing - great carpenter, too

I truly marvel at what a great carpenter he has become. I still recall a number of years ago when he would meticulously follow the instructions to build a basic book shelf and now he is building just about anything. 💗

Sam snapped these through his telescope!

Pippin's grad party was a success! Beautiful day, good friends....

... and good food! Naturally we had Sloppy Joe's a perfect food to describe certain students. 😂 This brings me down to my last 4 students! Wow. Seems like yesterday I had 10 children in school all at once! No worries, I'm not bored!

We went with friends to a splash pad, watery type place. It was great! Marigold and Kili had to take a swimming test to see if they could tread water for 3 minutes and swim the length of a very lengthy pool. They passed and did great! They never took swimming lessons, just learned all the ropes in our own pool or other places.

What a fun place!

And there is a cicada...

Rosie was hired to paint on the walls of a cabin. Obviously this is not a headless pheasant, just the first photo I received. Look at that amazing detail!!

She had a great time with our friend out in North Dakota, painting, eating out, chatting and just having a great time!

Happy boy! 💗

on the bathroom door! 😂

Eleanor was up helping Galadriel for a while and she was put her to good work!

Rosie's paintings throughout this cabin are amazing! 💗

And the roof project continues!

Another amazing photo by Samwise. Look at that detail of the moon! So amazing!

My sister, husband and son... hmmm, I forgot the event here but love the photo!

Once again this beautiful plant bloomed! This plant was given to Aunt Sly when Aragorn's dad died. She gave me a clipping of it. 💖 It's so lovely!

Fetching my purse which I left in the house! 😂

Sam ran into a whole slew of pumpkins out in the field. Eleanor had planted them but we had no idea they had grown into anything!
