Took a tour of the House of Seven Gables in Salem, MA
Cent store as portrayed in the book
The bell above the door mentioned in the book
The secret stairs
Another secret door
Various additions and subtractions
Fire water buckets
Love these kinds of beds!
Nathaniel Hawthorne's birthplace
This was actually moved a few blocks from the original location
but the same building
Then we went to Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House
No photos inside.
The philosophy (?) school her father started
Then we went to "Author's Ridge" where
the authors are buried with their families
Alcott, Hawthorne, Thoreau, Emerson...
The razor blade on the right had some kind of meaning
for the death of that person, apparently he
was shaving, cut himself and died from an infection.
How awful is that?!
Then this happened, actually not this
or this, but the alternator went out.
God's Hand can be found in all things.
This "interesting" motel (yes motel) had ONE
room left and it was the one they had just renovated
so... like new. They were helpful and kind
Sadly we know people in these situations
and these types of abusers
so I put these things out there so people
who are narcissistic can change their awful ways.
