Finally found someone who could take a look at my car and fix it! We were out in the middle of no where where people take cash and not cards. Did I have cash or a debit (for the machine across the street)? Oh. No. Alas we pooled our debit cards and funds and were able to get a new alternator... inexpensively. $500 including the hotel fee and labor. No. Joke.
Meanwhile we roamed the town
And had breakfast
And enjoyed a peaceful time in the park
Finally on the road we made it to Skaneateles, my hometown. This is *the property* where I grew up. Note: our house had been taken down and this monstrosity put up. Beautiful, but not our sweet little cape cod.
the stream where so many memories took place
My first job at the Mandana Inn
And here we are at Fallbrook point
So beautiful
The house was huge (easily sleeping 20+)
And our dear Skaneateles Lake
Even Our Lady was with us!
Twice!
My high school friend spent her birthday with us
My sisters and I were all able to stay together
at the same house. It was great!
Even with only 2-1/2 bathrooms! :)
