Happy Birthday Eowyn

Happy 17th Birthday, Eowyn!  She chose a s'more pie for her "cake." We took her to Bonefish Grill for her birthday dinner since we had some gift cards.

Turkeys and More Turkeys

 I will leave it to the reader to infer which pictures include turkeys.

 When one is outside engaging in conversation with the butcher, you just might find the beef weights written on the bricks with sidewalk chalk..... of course....

 Sam's new turkeys. If you are local and interested in a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving, I'm sure he'd take pre-orders.

 Frodo has been roasting ducks for dinner, he'll be selling the moscovies when they reach the right size, again, he'd take pre-orders :)

 Jack never left again after his sojourn, he's happy here at the farmette.

 It's a dangerous thing for me to go anywhere as there always seems to be a hole or a trench when I get back.

Marigold & Kili were very proud of their beards and mustaches.  After school activities can get very interesting around here.

Marigold's Audition

Marigold informed me that she is going to sing in the children's choir this year then proceeded to sing.  It was so cute I recorded a bit of  it.

Legacy

 Poppy and Marigold all gussied up to go playing with their cousins at Legacy for an extended "family fun fest".

 I'm not sure they could cram any more playthings into one building.

 Something for all ages.

 Like I said, all sizes.

 I guess they run day and child care here so they have just about everything imaginable here.

 The barrel riding was a huge hit.

 Our newest cousin "Banjo" as Frodo affectionately calls him.

Happy Birthday, Poppy!

Happy 6th Birthday!!

Poppy chose to go out to eat with Aragorn and I at Journey.  All you can eat sushi, Japanese (Chinese?) and American food.  She ended her meal with an ice cream cone.

Chow Chips & Karate

 One of the most bizarre local happenings is an annual cow chip throw, truly people actually throw cow pies (they are dry but still.... bizarre, yet comical)  This year 3 of the boys participated in a karate demonstration and marched in the parade.

 Although I'm not a big parade fan, I do like a good marching band.

 I was so excited to see a pro-life representation in the parade that I forgot all about taking a picture, I was clapping wildly for that!   By the time the Circus representation went by I realized I had forgotten to take the other picture.

 Here come my karate kids, though I missed a picture of Merry being that he was on the other side of the road distributing business cards and candies.

No, the "free beer" sign isn't what attracted me (no thanks to beer, ewww...) this is the sister bar and grill to the one where we get our brewer's grains to feed to the animals.
