Eternal Rest, grant unto Sue, O Lord... The years I taught at St. Michael's I taught with Sue. She was a wonderful woman so full of joy. She died suddenly without warning so a big shock. Miss you, Sue!
Despite sorrow, this cracked me up! This was so Sue!
Archery on the back
The peaches came in so we froze some. Doggone they were good!
Freezing is simple. Just take skins off, lay in a single layer on a sheet pan and freeze. When frozen transfer to freezer ziplocs.
Poppy has been talking non-stop about her 10th birthday for weeks. We took her out to eat to journey as she likes seafood (good girl, very good girl). All you can eat sushi, seafood, yeah... yum.
I. Love. Beautiful. Skies.
Peach cobbler bake-off.
The mystery of how this plane got to this spot at Don Q Inn is solved. There used to be an airport here.We went hiking with family at Governor Dodge. It was glorious.
Thanks to Celeborn's generous mother, we were blessed with all kinds of produce. I pickled these banana peppers.
We cooked down some crab apples and made jelly.
The kids picked me a whole bowl full of elderberries that we tried our hand at making elderberry syrup.
The mysterious pit is finally turning into something. Not sure what, but something.
crab apple jelly making
Huh?!
So, Samwise was going up north (northeast) to do some fishing for a couple days with a friend and a cousin. He bought MRE's which is some kind of military "just add water" meal.
Sam went in on a bigger sailboat with a friend.
Photo shooting for Christmas pictures. We were able to get some decent photos which are currently being shipped from Shutterfly (ordered before Labor Day for 50% off and free shipping. Yay)
Our resident photographer is Eleanor. She does a great job. We had help, of course, with the family photos.
An afternoon with family and their friends. It was a great time.
We had a tiny calf born. Kid brought it up to the patio just long enough to have a plop to clean up. Charming adventures we have around here.
Working on forms in steel toed boots is a challenge! 😂
Ewww.
The debate over which end of the banana one opens it. Really. Seriously. Anything for an argument. And it isn't even a full moon![Photo removed]
This was such a beautiful story about her.
I guess there is a roof on the mysterious pit castle.
Pippin got the worst case of poison ivy. On his lips even. He's been in misery, needless to say.
Our ducks had MORE babies! We are up to 40 (though 20 were eaten by something or other)
Ducklings anyone?
