Happy Birthday Poppy and Other Happenings Sept 6-8

Happy 10th Birthday, Poppy! It's hard to believe my 3rd youngest is TEN! (2 handfuls). She's delightful and very studious, loves to read and draw.
Poppy wanted to ride one of our horses on her birthday.

Turkeys are starting to get plumper. We have five, have sold 2 (for Thanksgiving), we'll have 1 and the other two we are going to keep and see what happens next spring/summer. :D
Chickens are also getting plumper (as I type they have already gone to their resting place in the freezer...
Love Poppy's jolliness. Brings so much joy! :)
A couple of us sang for the funeral of a friend of ours. Please pray for Gary's soul and for his wife, Bernadine. She's a beautiful woman of Faith.

It was the most touching burial I have ever attended.

My kids crack me up! This was their pooled fund to purchase the 2019 Aladdin on Amazon Prime 4 days before it came out on Blu-Ray/DVD. We don't just throw something out "because it's Disney". And this is a classic case of why. This was the most charming rendition of Aladdin ever. We thoroughly enjoyed it. And we'd like to encourage Disney to leave out the garbage and make a nice clean, enjoyable movie. The music was great, too. It also happened to be Poppy's birthday so they enjoyed making her day a little more special. 💗

We took Eowyn out for her birthday to Biaggi's for Italian.

We were meeting some of Tom's family for an outing and passed the cemetery where our beloved Fr. Kunz is buried. In my extremely great hopes he is in Heaven now, I presented him with some heartbreaking petitions.

Fr. Kunz's parents. I was blessed to sing for his mother's funeral in 1993.
Also was blessed to sing for Benny's funeral.  I have fond memories of dinners at Fr. Kunz's rectory with Benny.

And a most precious sweet baby. I was blessed to hold this wee saint before he passed away. I was unable to make it to his funeral as it was the same day as the c-section for my 12th baby.

Love you sweet wee one! Was able to ask his intercession as well.

And on to Stonefield, one of the Wisconsin Historical Sites.  The old fashioned horse-drawn hearses are fascinating. Someone once asked why the interest in funerals, gravestones, hearses, well, there are lots and lots of artwork on the topic, it's not just me! But someday we will all be 6 feet under, something to ponder, in how we live our daily lives.... (death, judgment, Heaven, hell)

Unfortunately it was rainy, but didn't dampen our spirits.

Kili was freaking out because the boys were "locking themselves" in the jail and he was sure they would never get out. I was hoping they'd never get out, but they did! 😂

Looks like my son was here, he likes to wood burn his initials in his wood carvings. 😃

For those who like to talk, this was taken at Eleanor's new job, at the bar. 😂😅😆

 Amen, in deed.

 How funny!

Afterwards we went to a local park and enjoyed the views and lunch.

Poppy received a lovely dollhouse from her God Parents.
 They are enjoying it immensely!
