Just a busy week

St. Paul's Cathedral, St. Paul

The grand capitol off in the distance

Baptismal font where I was baptized. I know I've posted it before, but it's a pretty special spot, and this time the lights were on. :)

The bishop (or archbishop) was there. He knows how to preach!

I was up at Galadriel and Celeborn's house with Bilbo to help out with some projects. We went out for a walk around their 40 acres. It's really a very beautiful area.

The biggest project was the bathroom to get done. We also got tool sorted and organized.

There were 3 bald eagles (which you cannot even see) that were having their breakfast feast, roadside. Beautiful! (the birds not the feast)

Successful curtain find at Good Will for the soon-to-be-born baby's room.

Just a few shots of the kitchen as a remember-when. Reminds me so much of my Grandma M's kitchen cupboards. (excuse the mess, we were also cleaning out the fridge and doing some organizing but wanted a photo before it gets a little make-over.

sealer, primer, and 2 coats of paint... and the shower installed...

After I left, they had gotten in the floor and edging.

Tournament in Naperville, our school was well represented with 40 competitors. (Thanks to the people who posted pictures for me to snitch!)

Rosie received her World Champ uniform... although it says 2020, the world championship was in 2021 thanks to covid. All kind of a mixed up situation.

Rosie was chosen to be on the elite team for team combat sparring. They won first.

I won a first in sparring, a second in forms, and a second in combat.

Pippin won a second in sparring and a third in combat

Merry was on team sparring and team combat teams. They won second.

Above Rosie when she was about 1, below FG1 grandbaby. 😂😂😂

Alongside all the joys of life in this world, comes also its sorrows....

I received the tragic news that my cousin Dan and Margot's daughter Cecilia died on Friday, September 17th, drowned in Lake Erie. She was only 24 and a beautiful person, studying to become a nurse.   She had this posted in her car to read daily:

Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.
— St. Teresa of Ávila

Something to live by.

"We have loved her during life, let us not abandon her until we have conducted her by our prayers into the house of the Lord."

Eternal Rest Grant unto her, O Lord, and let Perpetual Light shine upon her, may she rest in Peace.
