Waiting Week

 

After helping out up at Galadriel's I was home for a brief sojourn at home. I had a tour of the home improvements of the play house (now some 20 years old!)  They are still working on the inside but the outside they had decorated.

For those of you who have been around for quite a number of years may remember these statues that we found in the bottom of Fish Lake. They are still cherished around here :) Probably need a painting by now!

This week I went back up to Galadriel and Celeborn's with Pippin. We went to see the waterfalls in Hastings. The falls run beside a huge flour mill.

This house has a huge gorgeous statue of St. Michael out front!

Drawn on the "graffiti boxes wall" in the house (future flooring is inside the boxes). I conveniently covered this up with a post-it note so I didn't have to look at it. What a spider! 😨

The family came up to help with some house projects.

Bilbo was swapped out for Pippin for helping at the house and helping with chores.

Found a funny place where some chickens were laying eggs. Down in the "ditch" in the front of the house (to be filled in soon)

On Sunday Bilbo and I went to St. Mary's Big River for their festival. This chicken was the star of "chicken bingo". This replaced "Rat Roulette" since the family who does that game was busy with a wedding this summer.

Reminds me of the "train" Aragorn's dad had made years ago.

The festivals is called "Casey and Kolaches" as this was the childhood church of Solanus Casey and Kolaches are the big hit. They were different than the ones we used to have at Grandma and Grandpa's but they were delicious (and included a bit of frosting).

One of the chickens roosts in a tree each night. It was very comical to watch her making her plans before she finally made the big jump/leap/flight up.

While Galdriel and Celeborn were at the hospital Bilbo and I went to see a movie. This is was the screen looks like when the bulb for the ads was out. Kind of a treat not to have to see all the ads, there was merely volume.
