Eclipse Day - Pontifical High Mass - Shoes

August 21st between the hours of 11:30 and 3:00, we watched the eclipse come and go. Peak was at 1:14 CST 84%
Ok, this is silly but I couldn't resist getting what made me think "Eclipse Cheerios".  We rarely ever eat cereal, but this was just neat (see the dark and the light?)
Pippin mad sunny side up eggs.
I had him break my yolks as I just don't get into "juicy eggs" as my kids call the undercooked ones.
We had a cloudy day to our disappointment.
North of here (not far away) we saw blue sky and I was considering driving up there...
 .... because this was disheartening...
 ... more northern blue...
But then the kids started shouting that they could see it, clouds and all. So we stayed put.

 Practicing Taekwondo, ecplise fashion.
And wouldn't you pull out a violin and bring it outside? No. Me neither, but someone did.

Why does "let's get fun food" literally mean "let's get food that is very bad for us"?
 Eclipse cake
Bilbo eclipsed a cookie... we are creative... really... we are.
Then I decided to take pictures through the eclipse glasses. You can't really see the actually 'clipsing, but it was neat how we could see it through the clouds. Our biggest disappointment was that it didn't actually get very dark.  Did the clouds disperse the light or something?

One of our local priests had Adoration from noon to 3 so some of us went over there for a Holy Hour which was awesome.

We discovered a new calf!!  A wee heifer, but ultra friendly... just like her mama.

Mama was not doing well afterwards. She has been in bad health but manged to produce a lovely calf I call Frisky but the farmer boys call "Goatra" (the mother being "Oatra") Huh?
Our Bishop had a Pontifical High Mass on August 22nd for the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It was at Immaculate Heart Parish (unfortunately a rather ugly church...)
I was blessed to sing in the choir.

 Deo gratias!

How is this even remotely humanly possible?! Not one single matching pair.  Question to self:  why do we have more than 6 (previously) pairs of shoes in the same size for one child?!
