Villa Louis and the War of 1812 and Pecks

Couldn't resist a trip out to Villa Louis for their War of 1812 Reenactment. This took place at the actual spot of the Battle that took place in 1814 (I know war of 1812 in 1812) First we took a tour of the place

 Yes, they were Catholic!

Who knew grinding coffee beans was so intriguing?

Replica of a giant tooth found in the vicinty

No idea what Marigold is doing in this photo!

You can still see the rock base of the old barracks.

Kids having fun with each other. They were being recorded so we'll see if they get on the Facebook page for Villa Louis

This battle was one of the lamest yet safest battle ever. No one got killed and only 1 person got wounded when an Indian cut his fingers off. Kili turned to me and said, "What kind of battle is this where no one dies or there is no blood?!" Hmm... :D

Then we stopped at a gigantic Pecks out in the middle of no where.
