The Usual Variety of Life

Trying on a costume being accumulated for a play that Eowyn is writing.
Our newest sweet nephew... at a whopping 10 pounds 11 oz!!
Isn't he adorable!

Friends of ours offered us the opportunity to pick some grapes at their vineyard.  More grape jelly!

Frodo's music studio. He loves making electronic music.
On our way to a TKD tournament. We stopped to eat at this interstate oasis. The sunset was lovely but it was rather bizarre to be eating over the traffic.

We took a ride over to where the site of the tournament would be so we could scope it out a bit. Totally crazy route...

You'd think someone less drunk could have come up with a simpler route?
We must have passed the dome at the ball park 12 times on our way to get there.

IT also happened to be 97 degrees this day (September 23). It was pretty warm inside as well, but not *that* hot.

Singing of the Korean and the American national anthems and oaths for both the judges and the competitors.

Just warming up a little.

Frodo competed in 8 competitions. Here is his XMA form.

Yeah, he's crazy.

The creative and XMA competitions are int he morning and the traditional forms, sparring, etc... are in the afternoon so it is always a long wait.  Note to self: bring something to do.  We do watch others from our TKD school but sometimes one just needs to clear one's brain from the noise and chaos of such tournaments.

Frodo went home with a memorable trophy, 6 first places, 1 second place and 1 third place.
We have some really cute kittens (for a change) wandering about the place.

Our Young Ladies' Choir's first High Mass of the year. September 24th, Feast of Our Lady of Ransom.  5 of my girls (plus I) sang, 5 of my boys served.

One of our altar boys also made his First Holy Communion which we celebrated at the potluck afterwards
We went to friends' house for a Hobo Dinner which was yummy.

Story time

Candyland
Dinner out with Aragorn's brother and wife, none of whom are pictured, just trying to capture the grand blinding fire. By the time I got my camera out and ready the fire had died down, probably a good idea since I probably would have melted my phone (which was the camera... in case there is some confusion there.
Enjoying our Fun Fridays with Faithfully Fraternal Friends 4-H club which we are still in the process of starting. We are waiting for the name approval from the state.  A friend and I met with a wonderful 4H coordinator and wow, it's quite a project to get up and running. President, Vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and bylaws made me chuckle!

We also have our Little Flowers' Girls' Club

And our Blue Knights, these are run by our young ladies while Frodo takes the middle boys for the older version of Blue Knights.

 Our newest nephew's baptism!

 The Churching of Women

 Cousins by the Fatima Shrine

 Dressing up at Grandma's.
