Happy Birthday Eleanor

Happy 15th Birthday, Eleanor!

We took Eleanor to "The Grumpy Troll" for dinner.

Ok. Weird. Deep Fried macaroni with some weird cheese in it.  Somewhat tasty but a mentally bizarre food substance.

In getting ready for Aragorn's business trip to Italy, we picked up American candies to bring for our host's children.

Sam brought Frodo, Merry, Pippin and Bilbo to a chess tournament while we were gone. They did great!

In their divisions they placed:
Frodo 5th

Merry 4th
Pippin 2nd
Bilbo 14th
As a team they came in 3rd place!!

This was a piece of "art" in the school - made of tape... really!

No joke, that is ONE strawberry. And it did taste very sweet and good.
Excuse the mess... the neighbor's peacock came to welcome us back home from Italy :D (I will try to post photos one of these days...)
Another belt test.  I didn't take many pictures this time since they all look relatively the same except little awesome moments but those are pretty much impossible to capture.

3 minute planking... ouch.  If you haven't done a plank before, try it, it looks easy but is rather unpleasant!

6 moved to purple belts and Sam moved to green with gold (He missed the last belt test due to having to miss a number of classes in the previous session)

 Great job colored belts!
 Ninja pose
Frodo participated in the Black Belt challenge and mid-term.  His rating is soon to be posted.

Why are you taking my picture? I didn't do anything!  Ok, so he wasn't moving in Black Belt ranking but he did spend 2 hours in intense fitness testing followed by an hour and half mid-term.
A photo of Frodo and a friend from his Ecuador trip.  Love that photo!
While we were gone Sam converted Rosie and Eleanor's trundle beds into a bunk bed. I'm so glad he was able to do this as they really wanted bunk beds but these were made by Aragorn's dad so they mean alot to us. Not the most flattering picture since it looks nicer when their beds are better arranged!
Sam sent this to me while we were in Italy.  I laughed right out loud.

Sam attended the Wonders of Physics with friends of his.

  1. Wow! That's a great idea! If everyone boiled water ahead of time it would save so much time later! :D
