2024 - July 16 - Gettysburg

My not-so-city-kids needed a city break so we revamped our itinerary, got out of the hot city and into the country and added Gettysburg to our list. It. Was. Awesome! It's so very much like it must have been as you could really envision the war going on. They have erected statues and monuments that don't take away from the imagination.

Since we only had an hour or two I searched favorite spots in Gettysburg. Little Round Top and Devil's Den. I really wanted to get to the civil war museum but we ran out of time. Still, spectacular.

Then we drove to devil's Den.

That night we stayed at an interesting cabin. The original part of the house was built in the 1800's.
