How to be a cool mom:

Give a child an old couch and let him go at it.

However, I am not sure what this will accomplish for a lifetime for the child.

But I was a cool mom for a day!

This took the cake though, Galadriel and Eowyn made a little suit of (soft) armor for Pippin, including a sheaf and "sword".

I have to add that as I was looking for the exact quote about giving a child a fish I ran across these "improvements":
