Always a First

No, this is not a Willy Wonka fashion statement. These are onion cutting glasses.   Whodda known?

Privacy Acts are now in place:  "Do not enter", "Keep Out", "Poison" and other such signs were donned on bedroom doors this week.  No, I don't know why.

The children enjoy dressing up as saints.  Rosie was young St. Theresa the Little Flower.

Eleanor was *not* Glinda the Good Witch, she was St. Elizabeth of Hungary.

 A little Bride of Christ.
 Juan Diego
(ok, what happened?  I didn't touch it I promise!! side ways again...)  Frodo was St. Isaac Jogues.  Please note the money pouch for alms. This was a big production to produce and an element of controversy.... not quite a contact sport but close enough.

 St. Hubert
Don't know what this is about?  Look up the story of St. Hubert the hunter :)

St. George.  Life is all about battles.  I think I'd like the battles of a 3 year old!

Galadriel was Blessed Alice of Fontaines (The Family that Overtook Christ... excellent book)

Wait while St. Cecilia puts on her socks....
 Woops, sideways blurry St. Cecilia.
Sam wasn't interested in dressing up so they called him St. Isidore the Farmer.  When you are a boy of 15 and you did not want to dress up being called something you didn't dress up for becomes a near occasion of contact sport.

Marigold was St. Joan of Arc who ate her flag.

Just for funsies, I took them to a friend's house, they received candy bars (full sized!) in exchange for prayers for the deceased.  The squash was one of ours.

Then we went to Grandpa and Grandma's.
Here we tried some raspberry icecream made in the vitamix.
I brought some fruits/veggies to make a cocktail.  It tasted better than it looked.
Marigold was intrigued by a special kind of attire.
 Scrumpdillyicious.
Marigold in the Joanie Jump Up.... haha

Poppy sharing her "minky".

  1. Did the goggles work? I always look like I am watching "Love Story" for the millionth time when I cut onions.

  2. Yes, according to my daughter they do.... I've never tried them as I rarely ever do any prep work any more. :)
