It is very odd to think that at this moment in time, the Holy Father has officially resigned (1pm CST, 8pm Italy) and we are without our beloved Pope.

Come Holy Spirit fill the hearts of Thy Faithful (Cardinals)....  (and the unfaithful ones).

  1. Yes, it's a very strange feeling, and definitely a time for more prayer. I was gifted to be able to pray for Cardinal Norberto Rivera Carrera, Archbishop of Mexico City, Mexico. And his birthday is on the feast of St. Norbert, and my son is a Norbertine, studying to be a priest. God is good!

  3. Ok, Kristen, now that is hilarious. Cardinal Mahoney, you must quite the prayer warrior. Just wondering out of curiosity if you prayed to the Holy Spirit or not before you entered your name for your adopted Cardinal? :) Can you imagine what it must be like to be a Cardinal right now wondering if you'd be the next pope? Then again in a rare circumstance any man could be a Pope so maybe there are priests and men at large concerned they are "the one" haha. I know a local priest who could straight up the whole works in a jiffy I'm quite sure. Of course it would lead to quite a bru-ha as well. :D

  4. I just watched the footage on EWTN of the Pope leaving the Vatican. What an emotional event. The Cardinal I adopted was Donald Wuerl, from USA, born 12.11.1940. He's been a Cardinal since 20.11.2010 and his function is: Archbishop of Washington, United States
