Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord

And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother: Behold this child is set for the fall, and for the resurrection of many in Israel, and for a sign which shall be contradicted; And thy own soul a sword shall pierce, that, out of many hearts, thoughts may be revealed. Luke 2:34-35

This Baby, Our Lord, was to be the fall of sin and evil, the fall (death) of the Savior through the great sign of contradiction... The Cross... and the rise of goodness and the rise (resurrection) of the Savior.  And through this, Our Blessed Mother's soul would be pierced, for she suffered with her Son.  She was to be Our Mother, also, so as we suffer, so Our Mother suffers with us.  Never doubt Our Blessed Mother, she is always there and like all mothers, desires for her children to come to her.
