Christmas Letter Award

I've never given out a Christmas Letter Award before but I must post this one from Nick and Kay (mostly from Nick I'd guess!!). It is too funny to keep only to their Christmas Mailing List! I must share this with both of you who read this blog! :D This is the close of their Christmas Letter.....

To Our Liberal Friends:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choir, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

We also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2011, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only Amreica in the Western Hemisphere. Also this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or s*xual preference of the wishee.

To Our Conservative Friends:
Merry Christmas and Happy New year.

  1. That is too funny. The person who sent it to me thought it was funny too.

One of my favorite cousins sent a lovely holy card along with her Christmas card. On the back was a "blessing" rather than a prayer. It started out something like "May the Star of Inclusive" and went on from there. I'm sure she had no idea what lurked on the back side of the cards she was ordering. It was similar to that
    of your award recipient.

    Happy New Year!
