What's the relationship between the O Antiphons and Las Posadas?

From what little I know, the O Antiphons are the prophecies from the Book of Isaiah regaring the Messiah and the titles given for the Messiah: O Sapientia (O Wisdom), O Adonai (O Lord), O Radix Jesse (O Root of Jesse), O Clavis David (O Key of David), O Oriens (O Rising Sun), O Rex Gentium (O King of the Nations), and O Emmanuel. They come from the 7 antiphons before the Magnificat at Vespers of the day.
ReplyDeleteI believe the correlation would then naturally be from the Expectation of the Messiah, each day reflecting on a special title.
From what I read it seems that these were menioned way back in the 400's! I love knowing that we are trying to do the same as the saints of old!
I'd love more information about this if anyone has it.
