Feast of the Immaculate Conception

I am the Immaculate Conception

This is the day in which we remember the Immaculate Conception of Our Blessed Mother in the womb of her mother, St. Ann.  She was filled with Grace from the moment of her conception.  Today's Gospel tells us so, in the words of the Angel Gabriel, "Hail full of grace!"  We receive this grace at our Baptism and must work to make this grace grow within our own souls that we may be true mirrors of the image and likeness of God... as was our Lady.  As our priest said in his homily, we need to be mistaken for Christ, just as St. Francis of Assisi was.... just as Mary was!  There's a goal:  to be so purified in soul, so filled with grace, so filled with love that people see you as another Christ.

We had a lovely High Mass today followed by an enjoyable luncheon.  All you have to do is ask our TLM community to bring something and we have the party food explosion.

It was at this point my camera battery went dead so "That's all folks"
Except that I cannot resist the picture one of the children took earlier of a certain boy who always dresses up rather interestingly.  C'est la vie.
