2019 June 10 Geneva Train to Milan Seriate

At Hotel Edelweiss in Geneva, they had coffee and tea in the rooms. I don't drink coffee *shudder* but discovered a new tea Hibiscus. It was a lovely dark pink in color and tasted lovely (with a little sugar). We managed to actually buy a bus ticket (our free ticket expired), hopped on bus number 1 and made it to the train station, figured out our train to Milan and had no problems *phew*

Still rainy and very overcast, but although we didn't get to see the mountains in their majestic glory, we were able to see some of them and the clouds were amazing.

The view is always prettier out of the other side of the train (haha)

The police arrived, but we never figured out why.
The woman next to Tom insisted we had her seats.
By the time we got to Milan we had yet another couple thinking we had their seats.

There were many buildings built up on the tops of mountains (and hills). We also did pass a castle which was really neat. There were so many beautiful things to see that one can just enjoy when you are riding in a train going exceptionally fast. I could not get the camera ready fast enough so I just enjoyed much of it.
 Milan Centrale train station

Massimo was unable to pick us up as his car broke down (first time in 15 years. So we took a taxi to the address where he was located. Somehow it was fixed by much wiggling and changing of fuses.

We got to Massimo's house and Eda (his wife) made us a lovely lunch of Fuzolli pasta, sauce, and the wonderful bread/rolls one can find in Italy. The Fuzzoli is like a very large spiral pasta.

View off the taekwondo dojo patio outside their house. I enjoyed reading out there as the day turned bright and sunny. The views were lovely and wraps around the entire flat!
 This is our room
We were taken out for dinner at an amazing seafood Italian restaurant.

2 Americans, 1 Italian, 1 Albanian, and a China man walked into a seafood restaurant... (can't think of a joke, but I felt one coming on)
Amazing. Very fat pasta, freshly made, with seafood. I whispered over to Tom to ask if this was the meal or if there was more to come (it was a lot!)

Then amazing bread and a pizza thing arrived, both were splendid.
Silverware that was not used but would be removed so that a whole new set of silverware is brought out.
WOWZERS! It was probably 3 feet of solid seafood. Amazing, delicious seafood. (this is only how we get to eat when someone takes us out for business purposes) - remember when we were traveling along we ate kebabs or a calzone :D
Massimo gave me a proper lesson in how to eat some of the food.
 Grilled veggies - very delicious
Lemon sorbeto for dessert. It's like lemon sherbet with something added to it to make it like a really creamy icey dessert. Very good.
Everyone else drank the after dinner drink liquor (limoncello, pistachio/almond, and/or melon)
Then the coffee lovers closed the evening with coffee. Also something I don't drink.
