It's quite common to hear people joke in their personal frustration that, "If I had a perfect Son and was perfect like Our Blessed Mother was, life would be much easier." or something along those lines. But as we know, the Son of God became man for one purpose, to suffer and die for us. Since a mother suffers all that her child suffers, so the motherhood of Our Immaculate and Blessed Mother is one of total and perfect suffering and death perfectly accepted and perfectly united with her Son's suffering and death. And she is the role model for mothers.
