To live in the midst of the world
without wishing its pleasures;
to be a member of each family,
yet belonging to none;
to share all sufferings,
to penetrate all secrets,
to heal all wounds,
to go from men to God
and offer Him their prayers,
to return from God to men
to bring pardon and hope;
to have a heart of fire for charity
and a heart of bronze for chastity;
to teach and to pardon,
console and bless always --
what a glorious life!
And it is yours,
O Priest of Jesus Christ

I just love the prayers for the mother after a baptism- so important for us!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to a beautiful little girl! Do the priests have the prayers for the Blessing of the Mother, or did you bring them a copy?
ReplyDeleteYes, Jackie. There is a copy of the churching of women prayers at the church. You do not need to bring it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! And I love how fast you were able to schedule a baptism.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Mary was expecting again! How wonderful and please tell her congratulations for me.
ReplyDeleteYes, catching up on posts. ;-)
