Poppy sitting next to a pumpkin we "harvested". What we actually did was remove it from a vine that had a bigger one so that one would... maybe... grow alot more. Made great pumpkin bread. So if you need pumpkin come fall... we have 30 vines growing... these are not small pumpkins they are giant pumpkins so bring your own truck, geri-lift, chain-saw....
Last year we had any number of people tell us they got a giant pumpkin when asked with great excitement how big, "150 pounds!!!" For me it is like telling someone with a big family of 3 children that we have 11. Oh, our biggest was 1203 pounds. Just a reminder... giant pumpkin growing is just our "geek of choice".
