Jello

And the conversation started amongst the kids:  Did you know that jello is made of horse hooves...? there was then much to-do.  A few google minutes later:

Gelatin is a mixture of peptides and proteins produced by partial hydrolysis of collagen extracted from the skin, boiled crushed horn, hoof and bones, connective tissues, organs and some intestines of animals such as domesticated cattle, chicken, horses hooves, and pigs.

And we eat this stuff?!  And like it?!  I think I'm going to consider just watching it wiggle.
